MANDATORY SESSION FOR PARISH VOLUNTEERS
PROTECTION OF YOUTH & CHILDREN
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Charter for the Protection of Youth & Young People mandates that every Diocese implement Safe Environment programs for all children, parents and adults. The Allentown Diocese has acquired the Safe Environment programs called “Protecting God’s Children.”
All adults in our parish who come in regular contact with any child, for any purpose (sports, education, academic, art, music, etc) any staff, or volunteers who at any time are part of the parish and will be meeting with a child or a group of children, are mandated to attend one of the following workshops.
If you were unable to attend either of our Sessions please call the Annex so that we can arrange for you to attend another session in the Diocese. Those who are mandated to attend include: PREP Catechists and Aides, St. Vincent DePaul Society members, Eucharistic Ministers who visit the homes (communion calls), and all Parish staff members.
